As a rape victim, victimised by three different men, one a stranger in a high profile case by a serial rapist, once by a then boyfriend and once by a colleague, in real life I talk and post a lot about rape culture.
I often point out that we talk too little about the behaviour of men (and to a degree women) to create a culture where misogyny is common. I write a lot about how we now know that low level racism shouldn't be tolerated to prevent higher level racist acts why would it be any different for sexism? I also write and have talked a lot about how rape is now pretty much accepted to be about power so men wanting power over women is the ultimate in sexism.
What I often hear back is "not all men".
For years I've tried to explain why this is downright insulting. How women don't know if you're a good'un or a bad'un. How unless you're actively addressing friends behaviour you are still part of the problem. How your behaviour may not be seen by you as threatening even if that's how it's perceived by a woman and how women adapt their behaviour all the time because they cannot predict which men are predators...
And then I saw a meme which sum.es it all up perfectly. This is what it said.
"TV idea! Men who say #NotAllMen are introduced to a variety of snakes. Not all of them are venomous."

Re: "Not all men"
A good quote is worth repeating:
"After several years of diligent, genuine research, I finally came to the conclusion: womanhood is whoredom. You can dress it up as seduction, tart it up as glamour. Pleasing men is a complex art that involves erasing everything that concerns power. Don't talk too loud. Don't make categorical remarks. Don't spread your legs and get comfortable when you sit down. Don't talk about money. Don't be too funny. A good listener. Not a brilliant intellectual. Just clever enough to understand what some foppish dickhead is talking about. Gossiping is feminine. Anything that doesn't leave a trace.
"Meanwhile, men have no bodies. They can neither be old nor fat. Any skanky, balding, booze-addled, potbellied fucktard is entitled to make vicious comments about the physical attributes of girls he doesn't find sexy, or sleazy comments if he's frustrated that he hasn't got a chance of fucking her."
