Rest in Power Sinead O'Connor

Post by RedRosa »

Sinead O'Connor strikes me as someone who gives or gave100% Maximum emotional life with the depths of the great valleys and the heights of the stars above. A beautiful and expressive voice yes, but also a nakedness in how she approaches the world, with open arms. On the side, I'm always rooting for her to overcome the demons. An amazing spirit.

One who stood up against the church and took on the real enemy....while crowds boo'ed her and people talked shit about her. And in the end she was right about the molestation and child abuse.

I have much respect for this brave woman who lost het career to tell the truth to masses who did not want to hear it. RIP Sinead, you had a good heart and soul.

The funny thing is there was no significant backlash in the UK. I'm sure if you search you'll find some criticism in the Daily Mail... But 'nuff said really. I think criticism of religious figures who do little to address abuse is entirely warranted. As we're a pretty secular country I'm not sure many people felt differently.
So confused.
