I just finished Women and Socialism by Sharon Smith (5 stars!) and tonight I'm starting Beware of the Ice and Other Poems by Penelope Rosemont, a contemporary Surrealist poet.

I just finished the last book in the Spread series by British horror author Iain Rob Wright. I think I might start reading Thus Charming Man by C. K. McDonnell next.

I started reading Demon Copperhead, and am finding myself wishing I could discuss it with a friend who died last year, a few months before it was published. She actually knew the author personally, and I think some of the themes would have resonated with her.

I just finished Hunger of the Gods. It's the second in a Viking-inspired fantasy trilogy and I'm looking forward to the third book coming out in paperback. Does anyone else enjoy fantasy novels?

I just finished Climate Change as Class War and I'm about to start Ernest Hemingway a Biography by Mary Dearborn, the first Hemingway biography written by a woman.

Is anybody else into the Wheel of Time series? I’ve just finished book 5 and will be starting 6 tomorrow.
I’m also reading Sasha Sagan’s ‘For Small Creatures Such As We,’ ‘The Sakura Obsession’ by Naoko Abe, and ‘Toto-chan: The Little Girl at the Window’ by Tetsuko Kuroyanagi (translated by Dorothy Britton).

I enjoyed the Wheel of Time series when I read it about 20 years ago, but don't remember much about it now. Possibly time for a re-read.
