Daily Poetry Exchange

I belong to a group that exchanges poems with a partner on a daily basis. It's a good way to motivate you to write. Not every poem will be top drawer, but I find that I can fix up my second drawer poems later, and I just discard the flops.

We have a coordinator who partners the participants for the week and assigns one of us to come up with prompts for the following week.

Here's how the week is kicked off (names omitted):

Hi everyone,

Here are this week's prompts, by ****. ++++ -- you're on for next week's prompts. Please send them to me by this Friday, in the format shown below.

**** -- you're up next for a week off when we're at an odd number.

If you're not going to participate in the following week's group, please be sure to let me know by the Friday before.

(Send Mon. write to NEW partner; respond to OLD partner's Sun. write)

Tuesday: impromptu blues

(Send Tues. write to your partner; respond to partner's Mon. write.)

Wednesday: imprisonment

Thursday: scald

Friday: cosmic multiplicity
