First feelings for a woman in my 40s

I think I have always known I am bisexual but put it down to bi curiosity.
I have always found pictures and videos of women sexually arousing but never actually had real feelings for a woman.
However recently a woman has come into my life and she is intelligent,smart,funny, kind and beautiful and I have developed feelings for her.
Nothing will ever happen between us because I see her in a professional type of relationship.
I feel so confused because she is the first woman I have ever liked and I can't stop thinking about her.
She is aware of the situation and has very kind and understanding.
I just wanted to vent because this felt like the most appropriate place which is safe and people are understanding.

That is completely out of the question unfortunately.
I'm just finding it really confusing as I have never had feelings for a woman and it feels different to having feelings for a man.
With men it is what I am used to but with a woman it just feels new like I am a teenager.

It's a shame that it can't go anywhere but i had a lot of first crushes that went nowhere and you learn a lot from these. I'm now in a relationship with a woman and i'm married to a man. I tell you, it still feels like i'm a teenager, she gives me feelings that i have never experienced before...its awesome! I hope one day you find someone where you can maybe take things further....if that's what you're looking for
