Crushing on someone you shouldn’t

Post by shymona »

Does anyone else accidentally torture themselves like this? Crushing or fantasizing about someone you know nothing could or would ever happen with?

For example, I’ve had crushes on my husbands sister and that would never happen for obvious reasons. Also my best friend who I know is 100% straight and happily married. And lately the new intern at work who is also straight, and half my age and reports into me, so that won’t happen either.

Oh no @shymona , that is not good.
Statistically speaking it's a 100% crushing failure rate haha.

Moral of the story? Have a crush on someone where there is at least a 50% chance something could happen!
I know, easier said than done.

I have had a few crushes, but they do not last long.

I have done this in the past with men but I tend to crush on unavailable famous women which probably tells me I'm trying to avoid being who I am...

Could it be the same for you? That you're subconsciously trying to not crush on someone who'd be open to more?
So confused.

I work for an employment agency so am quite peripatetic and meet lots of new people, one of which I developed a serious crush for. She was my supervisor, in her early 50s and gave away no reciprocal interest whatsoever, unfortunately. I have to confess I sniffed her office seat a couple of time to get a sense of her femininity 😋, an act I've done many times at other workplaces as part of my fetishes for taste and smell.

If we’re doing confessions, we did a girls trip to Vegas a while back and when we were unpacking she showed me a toy she brought. One morning I went to the gym and when I got back to the room she was already out and about. Curiosity got the best of me and I noticed her toy was sitting right on top of her clothes in her unzipped but closed suitcase.

I ended up smelling, tasting, and using her toy, in her bed, and put it back where I found it right after.

That's something I would do if the opportunity arose, which it did many years ago, but I resisted since it was my mum's toy 🙄😬

Not for one moment do I believe that. Not to mention the hygiene aspect. Did you wash her bedsheets as well before she returned? 🤣🤣🤣🤣
