I get bored with porn. It all seems a bit samey. I don’t like looking at dicks, I hate fake boobs, long nails and fake orgasms. I occasionally watch a bit of BDSM but even that’s not brilliant.

The fake nails... Yes. I do know what you mean and even if someone is turning on my mind, which is definitely the way to get me hot, the wrong word can make me flip back to "er... No.".
But the joys of HRT my libido is no longer AWOL (yay) and I find it all works again. I almost exclusively watch lesbian porn now (but FFS would love proper lesbian porn not porn for men don't get me wrong!). Although especially if I'm in the mood there is the odd dvd I have of hetero BDSM including pegging / milking which I find curiously arousing in a power / domme way.

As someone who has dabbled in the industry, I would totally concur.
My guess, mathematically speaking, would be 40% fake, 40% exaggerated and maybe 15% illegal.

I find most porn really cringe and rarely watch. The worst is when the people involved have conversions. 
If I want smut all I have to do is search the right tags in AO3 in whatever my fandom of which might be. For me at least, my strongest erogenous zone is my brain.
