What’s everyone watching?
Re: What’s everyone watching?
I've started 13 reasons Why and I'm...hmmm not sure about it. It got better when I found the setting to play it at 1.25 times
I think it's good in its accuracy of its portrayal of modern day american high school, which is helpful as I have 2 boys in HS here and my other references are really dated, like Buffy LOL

I’m back to my comfort show: Star Trek TNG.
And all that there is, is the absolute ugliness of being human. And you’ve got to love it. Or else you’re f**ked.

Just watching Night Agent. This week I’ve also seen the films- Old and Escape Room, which were really good.

I've been watching a K-drama called Pink Lipstick and a Turkish dizi called Aski Memnu (English title is forbidden love) both in English subtitles. I personally don't like dubbed at all; subtitles rule!

I have to wear my glasses to read subtitles so I usually listen with dubbed. Some of the voices when I was watching Squid Game dubbed though were ridiculous.

I can't see far away, but my vision is fine up close. Yeah there is one Turkish dizi that I saw clips of that were dubbed and I cannot even . I'd rather read subtitles.

I watched Demonlover last night, a very disturbing film about the dark web. Connie Nielsen is protagonist and she is supported by Chole Sevigny and Gina Gershon (the male actors were all unfamiliar to me.) The movie was directed by Olivier Assayas, and it was something I didn't expect from him after loving Irma Vep and Summer Hours, both light hearted dramadies.

Re: What’s everyone watching?
Station 19 and Grey's Anatomy are done for this season.
I finished the second season of Somebody, Somewhere last weekend. This is on HBOMax and.... queer-adjacent, sort of? The main character is not queer (at least, not yet), though they've hinted at aromantic. But most everyone else seems to be.
Now I'm watching Private Practice, because I have nowhere to watch back seasons of Grey's and it is on Amazon Prime, and I have a crush on Amelia Shepherd.
I need to finish The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.
I'm watching Doctor Who as my tedious work task show, and got through the first season, but I think I'm gonna cancel HBOmax this month (yes, I said that last time I posted and haven't yet), so I'll have to find something else. Possibly House MD. Or A League Of Their Own.
A friend of mine swears by keeping the TV on to help her sleep, and in my endless quest for better sleep, I decided to try, even though it seems counterintuitive and ill-advised. So far, mixed results - one night actually was better than normal, the other not. My goal here is the same as with the tedious work task show - something I've seen before where I don't actually have to watch. I've been using His Dark Materials for that, but should probably find something with a little less random shrieking. Plus that's on HBOmax as well. Plus I get through the full thing in two nights, so I imagine it might get old fast, even if I'm not actually watching it.
Perhaps Man In The High Castle. I think something less bright might help, and that's so dark (in the physical sense, as well as the metaphorical) it's hard to see a lot of the time.

Re: What’s everyone watching?
You should just skip to Season 4 of Doctor Who, that's you need really House is great - I mean, it's all kinds of problematic because he's a jerk to everyone and yet presented as a sympathetic character, but it's a fantastic show with great characters and (I hesitate to say this because I have no medical training) I learned a lot medically too
I've been thinking about trying to watch shows to fall asleep too actually. I need something with a sleep function tho because if I wake up to turn the computer off that will be awake for hours!
