Feminism isn't "done"

Post by MarieGreen »

In my life I've faced the following.

Lower pay than male colleagues doing the same job.
Rape by three different men.
Medical treatment without pain relief of the kind which would never inflict on men.
Outside of working hours meetings with no consideration of childcare concerns women bear the brunt of.
Rape threats online when I've posted something controversial. One of which Meta even refused was against their policies. 🙄
There's also the minor stuff. The irritants. That work PPE only comes in "unisex" same with t shirts when I run a half marathon meaning you have no idea what size to grab and they don't fit properly (unisex actually means men's sizes normally.)
And the sexism I face in retail buying a typically male purchase. A car, a house for example. I genuinely had different quotes on a car with and without my Dad (I lost the quote then found it later.)
Oh and the mansplaining... So much mansplaining from less qualified, less successful men. 🙄

That's before the discrimination I faced due to having PTSD because of being raped.

Hopefully the US will see sense and finally elect a female leader but many countries in the world have never been led by a woman.

Feminism is not "done". Not even close. And it boils my p--- when I say people, especially women, saying it is.
So confused.
